D24 Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Hi guys I'm looking for an audio rack below $1k. Any suggestions/recommendations is appreciated... :)
ical Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 I'm using Solidsteel with very good result. Another recommendation is TAOC rack. It has very positive feedback and look great too. But price is slightly above your budget.
kzone Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 I second the Solidsteel 6 series if its within ur budget If u want an all wood rack, can have a look at the racks brought in by Audio 88 or Audio Jas, really sturdy, solid & heavy... I'm using them, see link below for some pics.. there is also a metallic YBA rack in the sales planet... Have not tried it but since YBA is really particular about vibration control, it shud not be a bad rack... http://www.xtremeplace.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=27134.465

myhifisystem Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 You can also try Sky Audio for the walnut wooden rack which is less than S$1k. I'm using it for my 845 tube amp. Regards :)

Guest francis woo Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Yes, but all in aluminium. The wood and aluminium combination in yr pictures is cheaper at H$600.00....but is it a good rack for audio equipment!!!
kelso1624705851 Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Here's a close-up. Its actually from E & T which are the OEM for Finite Elemente's spider rack. Bang for the buck!

It looks more like designer rack to me. The more joint the rack has the more unstable it becomes. Kzone's rack is really solid.
kelso1624705851 Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 The amount of joints are equal to this one but of course the solid tech is a different animal altogether and costs an arm & leg. If you're handy with a drill can add springs and ball bearings :)
