A few words about costs: As mentioned below, in other news, you don't have to worry about the "Sale du Jour" at SVS, or, "Is it a good time to buy?". We have long preferred to simply set aggressive prices and keep them low. But still, prices which we can sustain over the long haul and maintain stability for customers. Except for occasions where we have to draw down inventory on a certain finish, prices are darn good, all the time. There’s always been one exception regarding price on new products… our famous "pre-order" phase for all the terminal “early adopters” out there. During “pre-order” SVS prices are literally as low as they go. The freq response looks smooth, I'm considering one if I want to build another speaker. I think this speaker offers good potential at a good price.

I don't think there is much reason to DIY already...just mod the darn hell out of the xover! ;D Factor in the 4 drivers already cost ~ S$1k, xover we say use a cheapo $300, box and verneer leh? And then at least SVS will have better resale and move faster later. In the U.S say from Madisound, this 3004/6600 is usd 20 more expensive than the revelator 9900. Spunky, it shd be very cheap....they do Bax Global and I believe my 18kg sub (25kg with packing) is less than 200 bux.

They still have a LTS-01 to be due in 2008, that one supposedly will be using even better top-grade components for not very much more money. Of coz, that does not guarantee good sound though.
