Read that WB is making live action robotech feature movie!

http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/index.php?id=43915

can't wait to relive those evenings 6.30pm time slots when I RUN back from school in order not to miss a single minute of the cartoon. :D

macross rules !

mospeada a bit bleak for the humans.

the masters I have no collection at all , weird.

but they can be only one true macross series, robotech is rojak americanied version , well a live action movie is better than nothing. but to squeeze the 3 series into one feature length movie, I somehow doubt it will not do any of the the series justice.

should have been a trilogy series instead  ;D

This is great news! One of my all time childhood favourite anime series. I even have both American version and Japanese version of all 3 generations. ;D

Showhow I find those English dubbed Japanese animation / cartoon juz lack those "human touch"...  :-\

Agreed. The English voice acting is rather dull and wooden. I'd rather watch the anime with its Japanese voice acting and English subtitles.

Anyway, great to see Robotech coming back on screen. The anime was famous for its trademark sequence of multiple missiles flying all over the place only to hit one target.

Macross was memorable for its Nintendo games too. Don't know if anybody played the Famicom one where you control the robot in three forms while flying and shooting horizontally? The background music was the Lin Minmay song 'Xiao Bailong' (Little White Dragon).

The Super Famicom one was another classic where you can choose between the 3 main characters: Rick Hunter (forgot his Japanese version name), Max and Max's wife (the alien who shrunk herself to infiltrate the humans but ended up falling in love with Max).

Is the Famicom version similar to the arcade version?? I remember playing in the arcades where you can change to all 3 mode for different kind of attacks.

Never played the arcade version, but both version should be similiar as what you described about the 3 modes and attacks.

Found R1 DVD of ''The Shadow Chronicles'' @ CCK LASER FAIR shop, but didnt buy it as it is in dubbed in English.  :-\

I think the 4th generation was created by the Americans, so the original language should be in English. Don't think there will be a Japanese version.
