The layout looks very very friendly to do caps rolling...  ;)

bro syn - maybe i need your help in this liao i v tempted to upgrade caps :p also if i am not wrong i read at diyaudio forum that this fella power tubes are overbiased and need to add resistors in to bring them down...

Bro why not play with it for a while before deciding to upgrade the internals.

 

I agree with Darthfunk, let it play for few months by than u will know how it sound, than u decide again whether u like to change it by modding.  ;D

We both also wanted to upgrade but decided to play with the set for a while first. Who knows might end up upgrading (not the internals) to a better set up lol  ;D

The tube craze took another turn.

 

Later we will see Mono Blocs soon.  ;D

 

Soon... Mine's 6L6 quasi monoblocs ;) Dared VP20, 700+ for 2 channels plus a separate power supply. Not true monoblocs bcos they share same power supply (lower cost?) which is external. Well thought design. By separating the power supply, minimise heat problems with the trans and electromagnetic interference. Plus it enables the use of a bigger power trans.
