Guest memoir_acoustics Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Dear Sir, This is the SuperTweeter. Hope This helps
varun1624705824 Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 I was about to say: "A spool of wire someone carelessly left lying around...?" ;D - V.
ical Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Dear Sir, This is the SuperTweeter. Hope This helps Wow! Super big too. ;D I wonder how it sound. Anyone own it?
synthesis1624705793 Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 I found it ironic sometimes. People use fullranger, then add supertweeter, then possibly a subwoofer to complement. 8)
imbest Posted September 14, 2007 Author Posted September 14, 2007 yah, it make it look ugly actually, if using full range already why still want to add this add that? must as well dun use full range? just found out the frequency range of JB4 is around 50Hz to 18Khz only nia......but quite good compare to most of the mini-combo or entry level all-in-1 consumer level kind of "hifi" right?
SiriuslyCold Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 I found it ironic sometimes. People use fullranger, then add supertweeter, then possibly a subwoofer to complement. 8) *shhh* its not OK to get two/three ways but its OK to tweak
imbest Posted September 14, 2007 Author Posted September 14, 2007 sorry ah, just in case I didn't get the picture right. I'm talking about the one on the right but not this:
hotbird Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Could be one of those new trendy black toilet roll.... ;D http://www.giftmonger.com/acatalog/Renova_Black_Toilet_Paper.html
2100 Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 this one nah.... WLM also got. http://www.wlm-loudspeakers.com/WLMSuperPacengl.html Compression drivers also can add supertweeter. http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/wlm3/grandviola.html
2100 Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 I found it ironic sometimes. People use fullranger, then add supertweeter, then possibly a subwoofer to complement. 8) The main thing is so as to avoid any crossovering in the most sensitive region of our ears. It is usually more accurately known as a wide range driver.
imbest Posted September 14, 2007 Author Posted September 14, 2007 then what's the point??? isn't it "drawing legs for the snake?"
hifiluv Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 then what's the point??? isn't it "drawing legs for the snake?" lol.... actually life is simple, but we like to complicate things, ;D
imbest Posted September 14, 2007 Author Posted September 14, 2007 wah sianz lah, now I dunno if I shall still go for JB4 already.....arghhh....
Quest88 Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 hmm well theoretically most speaker hits about 20khz but dunno how flat is the response. :) whether we can actually even hear above that, i dunno, but some believe that it adds further dimension to the music.. thats why some speakers go much higher, like the jmlab utopias which go to 40khz. realistically for most ppl, i think just having a great sounding mid range is most impt.
2100 Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 then what's the point??? isn't it "drawing legs for the snake?" It's ok, don't go for the fullrange type of sound if you would like 20Hz bass and sparkling hifi type of treble, everyone's appreciation are different. :) Similarly you would see a 2k CDP as very expensive, others view it as really affordable.
