Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Went to Audio Act today.. heard from them now KEC monopoly the AV Receiver 805, 875... others dealer can't get it... if customer want that two models... have to get it from KEC.... mean price are control by them... we as a customer can get good price.... like others product.. we can compare price around.... :( ???
Doggie Howser Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Weird, I could have sworn that some SLS dealers had the Onkyo 805 and 875. I'd be wary of just hearing one-sided information. Best to check directly with Onkyo. FWIW, I believe KEC's prices were more competitive than the SLS dealers so I can't say we are at a losing end. What I do know abt business is that with limited stocks, sometimes a dealer who is able to commit to big orders (like what KEC seems to have done) is often able to secure the delivery than a smaller dealer who is unable to commit or hold inventory. As with most distribution business, competition can be very keen and rumours etc are easy to create.
