Relax Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Hi guys, Got a Creative 2.1 speaker system from a friend today. Tested good except that 1 of the spker rca connector when touch will cost sound loss. Did sound testing and confirm that is probably a wire at the rca connector could be partially O C. So thinking of repairing with a rca connector after trimming of the end. Problem : do not see any polarity indicator on the wires.. So is it alright to solder either end to the center pin of the RCA connector??? thanks in advance
karlie Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 All have polarity of course. Try one way if it is out of phase, then you redo, lah
Relax Posted September 4, 2007 Author Posted September 4, 2007 wah, so "leh chet" ... ok thanks will hav to wait when have more time...
karlie Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 In the old times there was often access to one of the wires at the centre of the membrane, so polarity could be checked. I doubt this is easily accessible to you
