ntuc Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 Just came back from watching ratatouille. I feel those drawing is nice and quite funny. but I just feel that not as good as previous pixar show. the character looks so similar to the incredible. boring!
SteinigerGE Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 My wife and I both fell asleep while watching this, but that's more because of the lingering effects of jet lag, not because the film was horrible. From what I was awake to see, the film was watchable. Good but not great. The bigger problem at Vivo City theatre 2 was that the film was poorly focused. It was even worse, because it appeared that the projectionist (does that job still even exist?) used the Chinese subtitles for focusing and not the rest of the screen resulting in a crystal clear set of subtitles and a very fuzzy film. The rats looked like fuzz balls that had just been pulled out of the dryer.... The sad thing is because it wasn't great, my wife already vetoed the purchase of this title on Bluray when it is realeased in the U.S. on November 6. Anyone else notice poor focusing at Vivo City?
sebastiansong Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 I beg to differ. I feel that Ratatouille is definitely one of the highlights of 2007. The story might seem overly simple but it is most clever and holds much for those willing to look beyond its surface. My top five films this year. incidentally, 1) The lives of others 2) The Bridge to Terabithia 3) Hula Girls 4) The girl who leaped through time 5) Ratatouille

dbchoong Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Just caught this in Eng Wah's Jubilee (AMK). Quick word on the cinema - very good picture quality and sound. But the aircon was way too cold. Bring your winter wear if you ever visit this cinema. As for the show, I thought it was pretty good. My kids loved it too. The short pre-show intro "Lifted" was also hilarious. ;)
kMan1624705733 Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Just caught it at Toa Payoh Eng Wah cinema. Has something for everyone, both enjoyable for children and adults. Sound mix was quite good esp at the scene of flashback and pen dropping part.
