Need Help on my setup!

Hi All,

 

Got this old school set from a friend, creek 4140 amplifier, marantz CD-42mkII. The amplifier balance knob not working properly, while the CD player cannot be ejected. I was wondering any expertise can advise if I should repair them or just get new ones? If repair, any shop can recommend? Thanks in advance.

A basic amp will be <$400

And about the same for a new CDP as well
