wolverex Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Hi, would it be good to place electronics on the floor or a reasonably good rack with vibration isolation design? i live on the second story with parquet flooring. Perhaps someone could teach me how to isolate my amp from the floor cheaply? thanks.
simplybochup Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 there are many ways to isolation one way is to use granite slabs or even the use of those wooden chess pieces ;D another would be to get isolation cones. check them out at adelphi
synthesis1624705793 Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Cork pad is more effective to isolate vibration compared to granite slab, unless it's super thick, and way cheaper too. ;)

synthesis1624705793 Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Many places: Ikea, some supermarkets, or even your neigborhood shops. :)
Guest Naimeo Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 I'm using Ikea Fibreboards with 3M vibration damping foot from DIY shop. I use Vibracone or stell cone between this and equipment. I may look into replacing the Ikea board with thick Plexiglass.
