SiriuslyCold Posted August 29, 2007 Author Posted August 29, 2007 Bah, sms me when you see something like that! I didn't even bother looking after they didn't broadcast the last one. Sorry!! I will next time - but now we're in the group phase ESPN will show it it wasn't that interesting though - I mean Toulouse hardly got one shot at goal, you'd be tearing your hair out at the misses (possibly 5 more goals). We played at well, Leto was good in the 1st half, Benayoun played well, Momo and Mascherano combined in the middle but Toulouse we not at the races
Pingu1624705792 Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Sigh, no Arsenal v. Sparta. Well, at least they won.
FookLai Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Read from Soccernet that they didnt play well but won the games 3-0, maybe is a good sign for Arsenal as they used to play well but cant win the games... Fook Lai
SiriuslyCold Posted August 30, 2007 Author Posted August 30, 2007 Arsenal not playing well?? *gasp* what blasphemy is this... :o
FookLai Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Arsenal not playing well?? *gasp* what blasphemy is this... :o I didnt watch the games, below is soccernet match report: "Tomas Rosicky finished a moment of brilliance from Theo Walcott to send the Gunners into a sixth-minute lead but Arsene Wenger's side hardly threatened again until substitute Fabregas fired the second. Eduardo added a third in the 90th minute to give the score a lopsided look that Sparta scarcely deserved. The Czech champions' stubborn defence kept them in touch at the Emirates Stadium until Arsenal's late flurry and they would have equalised had Jan Rezek and Zdenek Pospech buried routine chances. With a 2-0 lead in the bank from the first leg, Arsenal's passage into the group stages for a 10th successive year never looked in doubt but their lacklustre display was frustrating to watch at times." http://soccernet.espn.go.com/report?id=224310&campaign=rss&source=soccernet&cc=4716
