armoury Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 If you read the thread it sounds like hyperbole from some irate person, when it really seems more of a misunderstanding. Although I take his point that he only clicked on the link and didn't actually sign up, but perhaps clicking itself was considered acceptance -- I can't remember read the actual language myself, since I had always spotted the fact that it was an ongoing charge and the numbers simply didn't work out from my point of view. As for the credit/debit thing, that's annoying, but with currency differences it's inevitable. Although I can see why it seems illogical to credit and debit again for a re-shipment -- Amazon would simply re-ship, without messing about with credits and debits. But then again Amazon shipments rarely go missing: I don't think I have ever had an Amazon shipment go missing.
Deimos Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 DD CSR can't read and understand emails properly. They reshipped the whole package instead of the missing dvdss on the above case. for my case, they did not understand 4 of my dvds were not received (which was clearly stated in my complaint email), and initially managed to only ship out 2 replacement dvds only after I sent them another "extra" email, then they managed to wake up and agree to re-ship the rest of the missing dvds ::) ya, they re- charged and refund me for the 4 dvds. I probably lost a few dollars out of it, but I am already quite glad that I will be getting my paid dvds. one point to note, the missing dvds were probably not delivered becos their database did not captured the unit number as part of the full address. This is the only decrepancy that I can find. the DD CSR did not confirmed this. They just stated they have captured the full address that I have supplied them(which I checked is the same old correct address registred with them > 3 years ago ::) )
