Why do you need one. Singapore is probably safe enough and car alarm may not be useful afterall if you go out of Singapore  ;)

 

Why? Let's say there are some pretty valueable "light-sabers" inside my car.  ;D

 

Looking forward to install either of such sytem.

I am using a after-market 2-way car alarm system. Costed me around $500 3 years ago.

Besides reporting intrusion (including strong vibrations/knocks to the car),  the remote also reflects temperature within the cabin. As the control range is very long.. I can remotely start the car engine so that the air-con can run for a while before I reach the car. The 2-way status update is also particularly useful for old dude like me that always can't remember if I locked the car.

 

The only short-fall is that it'll drain your car battery relatively fast. I would recommend getting a large RC car battery 1st before installing these gadgets.
