BobaFett Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Can someone recommend a workshop that sell/install car alarm system. Which car alarm system are you using now and the estimated cost?
synthesis1624705793 Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Why do you need one. Singapore is probably safe enough and car alarm may not be useful afterall if you go out of Singapore ;)

Let's say there are some pretty valueable "light-sabers" inside my car. ;D Looking forward to install either of such sytem.

HT102 Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 I am using a after-market 2-way car alarm system. Costed me around $500 3 years ago. Here a link to the product: http://www.singtech.com.sg/STW1000.htm Besides reporting intrusion (including strong vibrations/knocks to the car), the remote also reflects temperature within the cabin. As the control range is very long.. I can remotely start the car engine so that the air-con can run for a while before I reach the car. The 2-way status update is also particularly useful for old dude like me that always can't remember if I locked the car. The only short-fall is that it'll drain your car battery relatively fast. I would recommend getting a large RC car battery 1st before installing these gadgets.
