Anyone spray painted his speakers before?

Has anyone tried spray painting his speakers before?

 

Any idea where to do it? Car paint workshops?

Many years ago I spray painted my speakers (wood box) matte black. Used to be brown. Looks OK, but not for fussy people.

 

Uh, why were you thinking about car paint? You want something glossy?

yes, my floor speakers currently has a glossy finish, in wood color.

if i can change it to glossy black i think it would be nice.

Hey, you better examine my diy speakers finish farther than 1m.  ;D

 

I change the backside of my speaker from glossy black to dull black. Any slight imperfection will show on glossy black. Should be done in a proper paint workshop. ;)

Was reading some DIY on how to do piano black... really too much work... :P

I guess as much doing it DIY will be too stressful and alot of work required.

The inner cables are soldered to the drivers...so if i bring it to workshop, need them to wrap up etc to save me from detaching and soldering them back.

You better dismantle all the drivers. If they accidently poke them then how?  :'(
