jfk Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Has anyone tried spray painting his speakers before? Any idea where to do it? Car paint workshops?
dbchoong Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Many years ago I spray painted my speakers (wood box) matte black. Used to be brown. Looks OK, but not for fussy people. Uh, why were you thinking about car paint? You want something glossy? :)
petetherock Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Maybe you just wait for synthesis to log on, he is the king maker of speakers :)
jfk Posted June 25, 2007 Author Posted June 25, 2007 yes, my floor speakers currently has a glossy finish, in wood color. if i can change it to glossy black i think it would be nice.

Any slight imperfection will show on glossy black. Should be done in a proper paint workshop. ;)
dbchoong Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Was reading some DIY on how to do piano black... really too much work... :P
jfk Posted June 26, 2007 Author Posted June 26, 2007 I guess as much doing it DIY will be too stressful and alot of work required. The inner cables are soldered to the drivers...so if i bring it to workshop, need them to wrap up etc to save me from detaching and soldering them back.
synthesis1624705793 Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 You better dismantle all the drivers. If they accidently poke them then how? :'(
