ugh, can't believe I'm slumming it in this thread...  ;D

But seriously, FWIW, last year I was able to buy the Arsenal season review DVD at HMV in Citylink (the underground 'mall' between Raffles City and Suntec) shortly after it was released in the UK.  Bit ex, $55, but given that the list price is about 17-18 pounds, that was about right, after conversion.  I am pretty sure the United one was also available at the time, so you can try your luck there.

i recall a friend saying he saw the DVD on sale locally at S$56.

i suggest you find a few other United fans and do a mass order from Amazon UK. I did a mass order of 10 copies for me and my kakis, and it came to only S$40/disc.

BTW this year's DVD is really very good compared to the last couple of years, and that's not just because we won!

The previous few were done by a production company called VCI, and the quality of the video was quite bad - over-compressed and so rather jittery (at least on all the DVD players I have tried them on). This year, they changed the producer, and the quality is fantastic - in fact, most of the highlights (except for champs league) are natively 16:9, because UK now telecasts in 16:9. They also made greater effort to get good detailed interviews with the players and Fergie when the season was over, so you have the players commenting on specific turning points in the season.

Oh, and one thing - it really makes it clear how important Saha was to our winning the championship, and just how good he is when he isn't injured. Although I'm a great supporter of Alan Smith, I'd definitely keep Saha if forced to choose between the two (assuming we will be buying another striker before the season starts).

That's good to hear. The Treble DVD is a big disappointment in terms of quality - when I saw it, it was not much better than the VCD which I have.

The Treble DVD should really have been a double-disc set, given the number of games and the number of highlight moments. In fact, most seasons should be double-discs. But at least this year's DVD is well-mastered.

Dang you should have told me, I would've asked to 'tompang' the Arsenal disc on your order.  Or would you have recoiled at the thought of an Arsenal disc amongst the ManYoo ones?  ;D

No problem, except that you might have difficulty finding the disk if you use "Champions" in your keyword search.... ;D

that's not true...

"relive the highlights of arsenal's short-lived pursuit of the champions' league trophy..."
