stephensim Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Hi guys, I recently encountered this problem while trying to playback some recorded shows from my Pioneer DVR with my Panny amp. There used to be sound coming out from both L&R speakers but now I have only output from the left speaker. There is only 1 coaxial output from the DVR. The amp is still able to output music on both speakers with the tuner and my DVD player so I've ruled out connection on the speakers part. I tried changing it to another coaxial slot but it's still the same. My DVD player is using coaxial as well and there is no problem at all from both speakers and I've tried both coaxial slots in the Panny and the cable from DVR. Tried changing the cable from my DVD player but still couldn't get sound from the right speaker for the DVR. Just wondering if there's something that I may missed out to troubleshoot this. Wonder if it's common for such things to happen as well. Hope u guys can give some insights... thks...
petetherock Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Hi bro Did you accidentally pressed the audio button on yuor DVR enabling only one channel i.e. left audio only? Or did you change the configuration on the speaker setup recently? Seems the amp / speakers are working ok. You can try plugging the DVR into the amp with RCA jacks to test it in stereo. Cheers P
