yellowhandman Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 I've transferred most of my large CD collection to binders, to save space...anyone got any suggestions how I can dispose of the 100s of jewel cases in a environmentally-friendly way? they are of varying quality - many are very old, cracked and broken. i removed all the CD booklets, but the jewel cases still have the paper CD sleeve (i.e. the piece of paper that is sandwiched inside the back of the jewel case). tried selling to the karang guni man, but he wouldn't take them. any ideas?
scoobydoo Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 At my place, they will hand out a yellow plastic bag every 2 weeks for recycling purposes. Do you have that at your place? If so, maybe you can put it into those bags. I think they might be able to recycle it.

yellowhandman Posted June 4, 2007 Author Posted June 4, 2007 You can pry open casing and take out the rear paper to store it wih your booklet for ref. i figured the booklet was enough. some cds the track listing is only on the rear paper, but i couldn't be bothered to take apart each and every casing. far too many CDs in my collection. i've basically gone (or am going) totally digital. especially now with itunes starting to sell 256kbps AACs, CDs are largely a thing of the past to me...
