I've seen 3 for S$10, 1 for S$8, 1 for S$15 audiophile grade/

I've tried 3 for S$10, it is way soft.

I've tried 1 for S$15, with DDD HDCD and many other Ds, it sound bright and messy.

I've tried 1 for S$24, Hugo produced, its good.

So concluded any CD with MIC label and those Ds recording...avoid it.

Whats your take?

Hugo has always been a reputable brand, specialising in producing true audiophile-quality Chinese classical music.

What's disturbing are those recent flood of "XRCD" that are so much cheaper than those $30++ XRCDs. I bought a few of these cheap "XRCD" recently, telling myself I'd be satisfied if they are of NORMAL quality. But there are still some tracks that sounded like those lousy low-bit rate MP3 songs.
