think so be able to find filler at places such as Spotlight.

Harvey Norman shd have beanbags...ever saw quite a few at Millenia Walk before.  The shop opp. Xaudio also have, IIRC! ;D

Take note that polystyrene foam fillers are used nowadays.

The issue about such fillers is that polystyrene is the same material thats used for heat and cold insulation. That means the bean bag is going to trap your body heat and will make it warm to sit on for extended periods of time when your body heat does not get dissipated away. Very soon, its going to get too warm for comfort.

Also, very troublesome to fill them up.

Go for recliners or similar from ikea. More comfy and can put bass shakers when you feel like it.

You can find a reasonable selection at Spotlight Plaza Singapura and there is also a shop somewhere in Bukit Timah Plaza that has a selection of bags and beans.

Alternatively, if you feel like giving yourself a treat, check this out : http://www.snugg.com.sg/home.html

Thanks friends

I actually bought a Snugg shell in Australia, looking for fillings

Went to Ikea, also found a chair or too that was nice, but slouching in a bean bag is so bohemian and reminds me of my student days :)

Go Spot Light at Plaza Singapura ...selling the Filler at S$13.95 per bag ...they also have a few sizes and fibre pattern of empty bean bags for you to choose .....

I've tried both and think the Malung is alot more comfortable if you don't need wheels. But your choice. :D

Its quite a popular chair used by a lot of people.

One of my friends had the main pole of the Malung break though, cos he liked to rock his chair while sitting in it. haha

Thanks friends, I settled on the Malung chair for now, but I have trouble adjusting the height or maybe I am missing something and this baby cannot be height adjusted ??

I will look at the bean bag filler soon :)

Is the filler any different from the polystyrene foam used for packing things (like hi-fi stuff)? Could we just chuck that packing stuff in after breaking it into smaller bits? I'd guess that normal usage of the bean bag would soon break it down into acceptably small pieces.

As in all audio items, audition it and find out for yourself if small lumps of foam is comfy :)

wow... looks like no one's interested in beanbags anymore haha. I like mine! from www.getdoob.com it's huge, yet very good price, and it's great for reading  :)

they sell those styrofoam beans for cheap too so anyone who has a cover from overseas can try them.

Looks good ! How much did you pay for yours ?

mmmm i paid $190 for the biggest one.. can't recall the dimension. and i got free delivery too. i bought from doob after doing some research and concluding that it had the best price to size ratio (i didn't want to get the small small might as well don't have ones ;) ) lucky me cos i would have spent 2x the price on a same sized bean bag elsewhere! hooray for the internet haha.

(as i type this i'm curled up in it and listening to bassboosa... niceeeee) :)
