simplybochup Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 Hi Bros I am currently planning to upgrade my amp from the yamaha rx 440. If I hava budget of about 500-600 for the amp, which would you recommend. I am currently using a couple of floor standers for the front r and l and they are 100w. I presume that I will need an amp with enough juice to drive it. Is a pioneer amp recommended? Or should I get the marantz or denon? Any model to recommend? Any advice will be good. Thanks in advance for responding...
petetherock Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 Welcome bro I hope you are not bochap like your nickname, and search this forum for info :) A bit more info would help, room size, music tastes and music/HT mix. http://www.xtremeplace.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=41975.0 http://www.xtremeplace.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=43618.0 Or look up $500 amp for info Cheers P
simplybochup Posted April 30, 2007 Author Posted April 30, 2007 Thanks Bro will certainly check it out. I am using the system in my living room of a 4 room flat which is basically a square( not quite sure the size) :D Using it basically for Ht as I have a separate system for audio in my room. Need an amp which can drive my floor standers actually. Is pioneer a good investment or should I stick to the marantz and denon?
petetherock Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Tonal matching, different amps go well with different speakers, so you need to audition. Each amp has their sonic signature. P
