Acoustic treatment kit set at low price.

Why Treating Ceiling is important?

Not only because ceiling is the largest bare surface in our HiFi listening room , its also because too strong reflection from ceiling destroy our soundstageing and sense of space for stereo playback.

In our HDB , most room only have a height of 2.4-2.6m...this is too low for reduce the refection energy from ceiling and the reflection will arrived too fast ,interfere with the direct sound from speaker.

Most ppls Know that treating the 1st reflection point at side wall with foam , fiberglass and diffuser etc ....but they forget that eventhough they able to reduce the reflection of side wall , until it dont smear the direct sound of speaker, the reflection of ceiling will add in strong colouration into the music.

In fact , the reflection for ceiling if too strong , it is even worse that reflection from side wall... because the reflection from ceiling, unlike your left and right wall (which Left 1st reflection contain mainly Left signal and right side the same) ,ceiling reflection is L+R MONO signal....we all know we hear soundstage and imaging from our "stereo" speaker because there are left and right signal , add in strong L+R Mono signal into our  "stereo" will narrow the sound stage and affect the imaging badly.

But totally adsorb the sound for ceiling also wasnt a good idea , because most absorb treatment no matter is foam or fiberglass absorb more High Frequency than mid and low, using it too large area on ceiling although able to reduce reflection but at the same time will also absorb too much high which cause the sound to become lifeless and dull.

Some ppls using all diffuser on ceiling but in our low ceiling HDB room it dont work well base on my personal experience...because diffuser  at low ceiling will still reflect too much energy down to our ear.

My Ceiling Kit set contain 15 strip and 6 block of High density acoustic foam .

Able to cover a 12 m Sq HDB Bedroom , and the way it arrange also allow the sound to be scatter evenly (Some call it "soft diffuser").

Not only effective but also can be install easily , you can even easily wrap it with fabric to match you home Deco.

The price for the Kit set is promotion price $300 per set.

Or the 15" X 15"X 6"  block $15 per piece , 36" X 6" X 4 "long strip $20 per piece

Other that the ceiling treatment kit, I also have this low-mid-trap ready for sell.

Effective to reduce the corner sound wave down to 150Hz, mainly effective at 250hz to 1Khz.....it is not board band absorber ( due to high density flat surface) so will not adsorb too much Mid-High and cause "death sound", and its easy to install, can even custom the length yourself, dimension 16" X 16" X max 32" (trim able), it is best partner to use with the ceiling kit set, also can fabric wrap easily.

Promotion price $40 price set.(including 3 piece of acoustic foam to assemble the low mid trap yourself)

Also take note for those who ask me about the individual price for the ceiling treatment kits.

The 15" X 15"X 6"  block $15 per piece , 36" X 6" X 4 "long strip $20 per piece.

Someone email me and ask where the foam should paste...this is what I suggest do.

1)Use a measurement tape, place it on the floor to measure the distance from speaker to listener.

2)if your ear are at tweeter level, place the 15"X15" square foam block at the 1/2 distance (center) of the distance between listener and speaker, that location is where you should place the 1st 2 block on ceiling....for eg if the distance betweeen you and the speaker is 8 feet, than the 1st 2 block will be place at 4 feet point along the measurement tape.

this is to try to ensure the direct reflection spot of the ceiling is control....

3)all other block and strip you can paste any patten you like as long as (the best is) not to paste all faoam too close at one area only, spread it the whole ceiling is the best...

* if you are sitting lower than the tweeter , the 1st 2 block should paste close to the speaker along the line of  measurement tape....sit higher close to listener.
