kraken Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 I was wondering for the xbox360, should i set the output to 720p or 1080i? From wat i know 720p is digital, whereas 1080i is analog but has more TV lines so better? Which one is better? confused...
tsammyc Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 If you have a native 1080i/p or 768p display, then I would set it to 1080i. Otherwise, I would set it to 720p.
desray Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Yeap...agreed in unison with tsammyc. If your Display is HD-Ready as in able to accept both 720p and 1080i - set 1080i/p on your XBox 360 under the Display Option. It will yield better results. :)
Lucifer Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 What about a native 1080p display? Should I still use 1080i? Unfortunately my display does not accept 1080p over component :(

kraken Posted April 17, 2007 Author Posted April 17, 2007 So for my Sharp HD ready LCD TV, i should use 1080i instead of 720p?
desray Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 Yes! use 1080i instead of 720p if possible. But if you're viewing from an LCD TV - chances are there may not be any 'significant' difference in terms of PQ. Trial and error. Most of the Projector users will choose 1080i for XBox 360 Display option even though the native resolution for the Projector is 720p.
