meow1624705839 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Hi Koma, Is there any pics of these acoustic products?
fabryuk Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Hi Koma, Is there any pics of these acoustic products? Meow When u came to my house, sure u saw the echophon on my backwall and beside the subwoofer right? :)
Jason Yeo Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Hi Koma, Is there any pics of these acoustic products? Meow , echophon is a square piece(different size) of absorbing materials . It is light but cannot use double side tape to stick . You need to make a frame to hold and hang it or use tiger glue to stick . I do not own any but saw it at bro muscular27 and oliverlim house before .

I only know Diffusor and the aBsorber which you told me. Are those that you are using now? Hee hee... Ku ku starts to learn now... Hee hee ;) As for Bro Fabryuk, yes I saw those materials, especially those beside your speakers & sub. Forgive me, I thought those are normal foam. :P
Quest88 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 i might be interested in the gramma pad. this is the one for subwoofer base right?
koma Posted March 2, 2007 Author Posted March 2, 2007 yup mainly used to "float" speakers but subs also can. dun worry even the mopads is enough to support an ultra ;) i might be interested in the gramma pad. this is the one for subwoofer base right?
IwishIwasToneDeaf Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 yup mainly used to "float" speakers but subs also can. dun worry even the mopads is enough to support an ultra ;) Hey Koma, What would be good for floating a PB10? I might be interested if the mentioned Mopad is a cheaper alternative. Also, I need to soundproof my door (sound from going out and coming in), I'm experiencing a lot of "outside" noise when I'm watching a movie sometimes, and it can get rather distracting. Please advise. Cheers!
kzone Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 3)Onix Diffusor (2ft x 2ft) $200 per pair May be interested in this.. is it the wooden type or styrafom one? googling didnt yield any pics.. When u intend to close the order? tone deaf, the GRAMMA fits the PB10 perfectly. Mopads r cheaper though...
koma Posted March 2, 2007 Author Posted March 2, 2007 the auralex mopads would be more than adequate. hmm like that maybe u would like to try door seals on ur door 1st. Jason Yeo Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 How about those you used, bro? I only know Diffusor and the aBsorber which you told me. Are those that you are using now? Hee hee... Ku ku starts to learn now... Hee hee ;) Yup, that is part of it .
Jason Yeo Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Hey Kzone, thanks for the advice! But are the Mopads and the Gramma made from the same material? It is same materials . Diff is Gramma with a nice wooden platform . So for those having box subs, just use the Mopad, cheap and good.
Quest88 Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 It is same materials . Diff is Gramma with a nice wooden platform . So for those having box subs, just use the Mopad, cheap and good. can mopad fit a cylinder sub? :P at least if it doesn't sound that gd, i can always use it on my other speakers. hehe
Jason Yeo Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 can mopad fit a cylinder sub? :P at least if it doesn't sound that gd, i can always use it on my other speakers. hehe Can fit but not stable to me so ans is better dont(Try it at your own risk) . Cylinder need to pay more for Gramma platform ;D Or you can cut a thick Mdf board, place the Mopad below then can . Box sub is mostly ok . SvS box or subs that has a wooden platform below is the best . Btw, 1 Gramma not big enuff for PB12+/2 sub . can hold but not that stable to me . It will need 2 so Mopad stiill the best option(cheaper too) and serve the same purpose . Just place each at a corner . In addition , I have placed myself on top of my ultra/2 sub with Mopad below, it still can tahang without any sign of flattening, good. High density Foams is good for SvS sub lift up . Not day and night difference but there is still can-easy spot difference(reduce floor noise and make it more airy) ::) On the other hand, using spike cones on SvS box sub is not a good idea . You get your floor into trouble or yourself if need to shift (I tried it before :'()and seems no difference to me . Mopad or Gramma , yes . Maybe the spike cones not high enough for SvS sub , I guess so ??? coz my MK sub got diff using the original spikes but it is higher .

kzone Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Guys, a word of caution for those who like me, know nuts abt acoustic treatment & using SVS lowest end sub... instead of getting more bass after using the platform, u'll find the sub to be underpowered instead... My blood immediately rushed to ny head.. luckily bro Jason here says its normal to feel dat way.. haha... Then bro Jag helped me to make the sub a little fiercer, after awhile still not enuff.. now always waiting in the B&S for the only thing that can increase the bass ouput.. sigh...

Then bro Jag helped me to make the sub a little fiercer, after awhile still not enuff.. now always waiting in the B&S for the only thing that can increase the bass ouput.. sigh... Hehehe , since bro kzone mentioned this , I got something to make clear . The higher you lift up a sub , the more db lost but cleaner and airy . The more bass traps you put , the cleaner and punchier the bass, but you will want more bass liao . Likewise for acoustic treatments. When you absorb the first reflection on all speakers, the more precise the details and image but you also lost few dbs . Need to crank up the volumn to compensate back . However , this is the more true sound from your speakers so don worry . Everything is normal . Those who have visited me know the results and the advantage of acoustic treatments .
koma Posted March 2, 2007 Author Posted March 2, 2007 yah i be gettin the mopads also. i need a list of the stuff that u guys want so that i can get the quantity i need at least to warrant a discount from the supplier.
