pschia Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 The 60G PS3 with 2 games is now available for preorder at $963 for collection from 8 -11 Mar 07 during the IT Show at Suntec City. Is this a good price? :P
sebastiansong Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Assuming 60 GB PS3 with one controller is $799 Two games at $79 each will be $158 Total is $957 Not knowing whether GST is inclusive and what other goodies are bundled, its hard to comment. From what I gather, during the launch Promotion is buy 1 game and get a FREE key chain. Buy 2 games and get a FREE Polo-T. Buy 3 games and get a FREE Jacket. (to be verified)
velocity1624705768 Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Yep, correct. See link http://asia.playstation.com/sg/ps3/ps3_reser.htm
yulee Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 I think this was the mailer that was sent out to My Sony members http://www.sony.com.sg/mysony/psp3/beforelogin.html I checked with the Customer Service people - there's only 2 games available at the launch Resistence of Man and Ridge Racer. Since the 60Gi PS3 ($799) and each game ($82) ie $799+$82+$82=$963 there isn't any savings, plus you'll have to go down to Suntec to collect plus no freebies as mentioned in the Playstation Asia site. The Customer Service person claimed the IT Show offer is from Sony Singapore whereas the website one is by Playstation Asia HK - confused yet? ::)
htfreak Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Have called up quite a number of the Sony Partner shops and all of them have confirmed that you can get the set alone without the need to buy bundled games. Further more, all of them indicated that their stocks will come in on 8th March. Furthermore, when you buy 1, 2 or 3 games together with the set, you will be entitled to get the freebies indicated on the website. Hence, I'm not sure why anyone would want to get the MySony club promo and have to go all the way to Suntec to collect it. Seems like Sony marketing and Sony retail sales division are fighting with each other for customers. Damm bloody hilarious.
Norman_Chan Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 If the shops selling the PS3 paste the wording that the player can playback PS2 and PS1 games ...can it be trusted ?
DJQ Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 jus a qns, why would u want to play ps2 or ps1 games on a ps3? might cause irregular drive operation when the game disc is not DVD.
game_goondu Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 jus a qns, why would u want to play ps2 or ps1 games on a ps3? might cause irregular drive operation when the game disc is not DVD. simple, some ppl have a huge collection of PS1 and PS2 games. so buying of ps3, you know u still can play back your old games. that is why sony provide 98% backward compability/
Norman_Chan Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Also now a lot of PS2 games sales ....at S$19.90 ........
