petetherock Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Hi Q I just bought a Harmony 525 for Aus 100, better deal?
civicguy Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 hmm. just to share that i saw this in homefix for $139. they also sell the 4-in-1 remote but i forgot the price. Eat batteries for breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper
Quest88 Posted February 22, 2007 Author Posted February 22, 2007 hehe, yah, i would think so. forget how much the 525 selling in harvey norman. find the logitech harmony line still the best in terms of features. the kameleon line is more for aesthetics. philips 9600 also looks nice.
SiriuslyCold Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 this new European Kameleon line don't look as good as the US line; I thought the chromed/shiny plastic casing looked cheap (the US Kameleon had matt coated plastic that looked more solid)
Jedi R Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 the 4 in 1 is selling for $89... Any feedback on the Harmony 525?
SiriuslyCold Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I dunno how much memory the Kameleon has - my 8-in-1 9960 has only space for 25 keys - definitely not enough for any decent programming. If the new euro models had more memory it might be a mitigating factor but I'd have a lot of reservations
stephensim Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 hi guys, i have been using the harmony 880 for a few months and find that it's a pretty good remote. got it for US$150+ from Amazon. was using the harmony 360 previously. the harmony 885 is overpriced here and u can always configure other buttons in the 880 for the SCV and teletext coloured buttons. one thing i find it good about logitech remotes is that the support given by the technical people is extremely helpful. i have emailed them many times regarding some setup problems with my devices and they could actually "read" the source codes of the remote buttons and will try their best to troubleshoot and fine tune them until they work perfectly. ;)
IwishIwasToneDeaf Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 On the topic of remotes, my SR7001 remote cant configure/learn the keys of my SCV digital box's remote. Also some keys of my momitsu cant be learn too. Anyone has encountered and solved these problem?
