It's probably a football pitch: 4,975" is about 138yds, which seems about right for the diagonal of a footy pitch -- my Pythagoras theorem is screwed up and my calculator doesn't have square roots, but 138 squared is 19,044, and if a typical footy pitch is 110 x 75 yds, the sum of the squares is 17,725.  Add a bit around the actual pitch for linos to run, technical areas, the numbers should be about right.
