Woohoo...the 3808 looks good. If it is really coming out in July, I may be willing to hold off on my purchase till then. Must resist............

I wouldn't worry about.  The new Denon amps won't be available to late year and in any case the 2307 allows for HD-DVD/Blu ray audio via its 8 channel input.  Further, to enjoy one of these two standards you would need to update your DVD player and you are well advised to leave that until the dust settles on the new standards or perhaps when a universal HD/BR player is available.  Most new HD players will do the decoding so your amplifier is not wasted.

There is always this misconception on 1.3.

Like what 1AngMoh mention you wont see any HDMI 1.3 receiver till late this year or next. We are always the last to receive the latest products when it coems to receivers. A very good example is the Yamaha 2700.

Wow ....at last ...some upgrade that can be looking forward to by this year ...ha...ha... look like the Denon 2808 will be the entry level for the new audio format ....
