gerald1624705841 Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 I have a Oppo DV-970HD. I downloaded the video from my DV tape to hard disk. Its of the type / format VIDEO CLIP. Is this format is also called AVI format? Then used Windows Movie Maker to edit the file. The resulting format is still VIDEO CLIP. Then i burnt this onto a DVD+R. Then i tried to play on my Oppo but CANNOT be played though it detects the file in DVD disc. Does anybody know why? I read a comment that OPPO "This unit does not playback .avi files encoded with the mp42(Microsoft MPEG-4)codec". http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers.php?DVDnameid=7223&Search=Search&orderby=Comments Does this mean that there different type of avi format? Does my file belong to this format? How can i make my file Oppo playable? Basically, i want to make my downloaded video (from DV tape) to be played in Oppo and i want DVD quality. Can anybody know how to do this? Thk u.
