i'll be going to Perth in 2 weeks time and i wanna grab some books, cds and dvds - basically stuff that you can't get here easily.

anybody knows any dvds and cds that are exclusive to R4 Australia in terms of content?

these are the dvds that i have on my wishlist so far:

Titanic

Frighteners

Wolf Creek

Walk the Line 3 disc set

Serenity

BTTF trilogy 4 disc set

James Bond metal briefcase box set

any other suggestions would be very appreciated :)

as for CDs, Australia has this habit of releasing CDs with bonus contents in terms of a second disc filled with exclusive tracks. i listen to a wide range of music leaning towards hard rock and heavy metal and also hip-hop and R&B.

if you know of anything that i should look out for, do post here :)

TITANIC S.E 4disc set is it? Or had i got it wrong?

Anyway, my wish list are titles of older films, such as those war film made in the 60/70's.

For example, BATTLE OF BRITIAN S.E comes with DTS isolated score.

I thought the R1 BTTF was also a 4-disc set?  Unless there's an extra 'extra' or so, like Serenity's R4 (and R2) has an extra featurette, but that's also available on the R3, I think.

I must admit I haven't really been paying attention to R4 discs, not since the AUD shot up from S$0.95 to nearly S$1.3  -- just not worth it, especially since USD dropped from S$1.75 to S$1.6.

FWIW, check www.michaeldvd.com.au, in particular http://www.michaeldvd.com.au/R4vsR1/R4vsR1.asp which lists out all the R4 "winners" v. R1 discs.

Hang on, reading the BTTF review at that site suggests even the R4 is 3-disc.  Unless there's a later edition with an extra disc?

Anyway, have fun in Oz!
