khewa Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 anyone knows where I can get a Center speaker stand that sits on top of my TV. The depth of my Center speaker is longer than my CRT TV ledge, so need to extend the ledge. Anyone knows where I can get one ? and for how much ?
hnx676 Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 If possible, put the center speakers on a wall mounted shelf (on top of the TV) rather then a "stand" on top of the TV. More rigid and stable that way. You don't want anybody to bump into the TV accidentally and have your center speakers landed on their feet ...
hifiluv Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 macham ini lah.... ;D u cannot see it, but i hv lego bricks under the front to tit it downards so tat sound will fire right into my sitting position, ;)
synthesis1624705793 Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Actually you can just align the center speaker such that the center of gravity is resting on the TV ledge to make it more stable. Anyway, I built this support to tilt down my center speaker (JM Lab CC800s) on top of my TV. If you want, you can have this support for $5 only. ;) Pick up at my place. It measures around 30x22 cm (wxd). You can put double sided tape below the support to make it more stable.
SiriuslyCold Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 wah... synth, very nice!! mine is here
synthesis1624705793 Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Hehe.. thanks. Now I'm using round door stopper to tilt up my center speaker..
SiriuslyCold Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 didn't know you'd gone commercial.. ;D
synthesis1624705793 Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 didn't know you'd gone commercial.. ;D I didn't know there's Synthesis speaker brand. I would have been rich by now... ;D But stay tuned, Synthesis Model One is in production now. Better than the Debut ;D Sorry Khewa, this becomes OT..
SiriuslyCold Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 that looks awesome! get one of the mods to split this topic and move it to planet audio
khewa Posted November 19, 2006 Author Posted November 19, 2006 thanks all for your feedback. I've a false partition behind the TV, so it is not a feasible option to put the center speaker on a shelf, since the false partition cannot take the weight of the speaker. I just need something simple, like this: http://www.amazon.com/OmniMount-Center-Channel-Speaker-CCH1B/dp/B00067AIEU/sr=1-2/qid=1163972493/ref=sr_1_2/102-2490447-2819327?ie=UTF8&s=electronics
SiriuslyCold Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 you know.. I think I saw something like that being sold at NTUC or hardware stores - but gray plastic. it'll probably work though
