Enam Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Dear friends, I would like to buy a 42 inch Panasonic Plasma TV with excellent picture/colour, HDMI connectivity, HD ready feature. Main purposes of buying this TV are 1. watching DVD (70%) 2. Cable TV (30%). My budget is around 3200 S$. According to Singapore market which Panny models are best? Please advise… I checked in the net and found following models are good according to plasma tv buying guide website. Any body who are using following models please comment. Rank -1 Panasonic TH-42PH9UK (probably TV tuner not included in this model) Rank -2 Panasonic TH-42PX600U Rank -3 Panasonic TH-42PX60U Please mansion current price in S$ when mansion model. with best regards, Enam
noot Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Hi Enam The local equivalent models are 42PV600 and 42PV60. Someone in hwz forum got the PV60 for @ $2900. Here's the link, http://forums.hardwarezone.com/showthread.php?t=1434719 I think the panels for those 2 are the same except that the PV600 has additional features. Best is for you to c the product itself. In BD J8, the PV60 looked sharper than the Pio 427 but in BD Vivo City, i noticed that the PV60 has a reddish look. I guess those panels are not tuned properly. my $0.02 hth
