naglfar Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Hello bros, I'd like to get some get feedback from the experts here on the subject above. I'm thinking of getting an SPL meter to calibrate my home theatre set up. I think it's a good investment. That will go together with either the AVIA or DVE disk (probably AVIA, heard it is more user friendly). Anyway, besides the Radio Shack SPL, is there any other brands of SPL that I get hold of that is affordable? I saw Apherion Audio selling their own brand for US$29. Can vPost it here. But locally, is it possible to get one for less than maybe say S$80? If yes, where? Sim Lim might be a good place to start, I guess. Getting one locally will save me the hassle. And what kind of features should I be looking out for? Any help from the experts here would be much appreciated. And if any bros here thinking of selling either the set up disk, can let me know!
