scoobydoo Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 I just bought the Pioneer 42XG from the prelaunch show at Suntec... ;D They are coming next Sat to install it. I am going to wall mount it. Most probably I will be getting the new pioneer DVD player with HDMI. I think its the DV-490V-S. I want to connect the sound to my stereo set which is also located in my living room thus my post http://www.xtremeplace.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=41634.0 I can ask them when they are here to install it, but i was hoping to get everything necessary before they come so that it can all be done up on the same day. How do I achieve that? Do i connect from the dvdp to the plasma using HDMI then connect from some audio out from the TV to the stereo amplifier? Also which HDMI cable should I get? (assuming it doesnt come with the DV 490VS.) Where can i get it? Any other general advice? Anything i should ask or look out for??
lwm99 Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 Connect audio direct from DVP to your amp. No point spend too much money on those monster HDMI cable.
