armoury Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 As ever , Apple gets it absolutely right design-wise. Having said that, functionally, apart from HD, how is this different from the local Neuston product, which have been available for at least a year, or longer?
Doggie Howser Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 When I hear HD streaming over wireless Extreme (aka 11g), I can't help but go ::) can meh?
daredevil_kk Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Hey, but I hear it maybe using the new standard "n". :o So should be no problem for HD. ;)

hifi_enthusiast Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 pre-n or G or B, today, you can detect 20 neighbouring networks on the 2.4Ghz spectrum, next year, will double, year after that, you get 100 neighbouring networks divided amongst only '3 non-overlapping channels' theoretically u can stream the video, but because of interference/general unreliability of wireless, you may get occasional dropouts/stuttering.

lewlian Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 A short distance below your navel. Not being disrespectful but the distance varies with people too.
varun1624705824 Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 A short distance below your navel. ROTFL!!! :)

In a few years time there will be enuf data for a study of the relationship of men putting their handphones in their pocket, using laptops on their lap and a certain type of cancer.... ;D
yellowhandman Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 i'm a huge apple fan, but the announcement of this itv device was just plain irritating, because (a) we don't have an itunes store in singapore, so no content, and (b) content that i do have from other sources is mostly in divx, which isn't supported by itunes. (actually, there IS a way to get divx files into itunes, but i'm not sure whether they would stream)
varun1624705824 Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 Get a friend in the US to buy you pre-paid Apple Store cards and email you the numbers. Use a US-address when creating your Apple account (doesn't matter what the address is - it is not verified as you're not using a card). Voila - you're able to buy off itunes. - V. i'm a huge apple fan, but the announcement of this itv device was just plain irritating, because (a) we don't have an itunes store in singapore, so no content, and (b) content that i do have from
