Supreme_Master Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Was happily enjoying my Benq7700 through my trusted pioneer969 through hdmi when for some reason I go scroll through the output optiuon and entered 480i. Immediately the screen goes off and the projector displayed a message that says"hdmi(unsupported)". How can I undo my error? I no longer has access to the hdmi options in the dvdp's menu. I now don't get any video when the hdmi input on the projecgtor is selected except for a brief period when i was plugging and unplugging the hdmi cable. When this happen, although i get a picture, i was denied access to the hdmi options on the dvdp and the hdmi indicator on the dvdp was blinking away and when the disc was taken out the display on the dvdp display shows"hdmi 480i".
Hardlok Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Idea: connect the pj using any other cable such as component, composite, s-video or dvi to get the image back. Then reset the hdmi setting.
HT102 Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 I had a similar problem before and I got out of it by "holding down the (number) 0 button on the remote for 5 seconds to return to the auto resolution setting." It's on page 74 in 969's manual. Note that PE7700 does not support 480i and 576i input (likely 1080p as well).
luq_skywalker Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 .. it worked with my 696 dunno whether it will work with ur 969 .. :-\ ... go to ur console (not ur remote), press the power button with the I<< button, the reverse skip button, it will reset the settings ..
Supreme_Master Posted August 19, 2006 Author Posted August 19, 2006 Thanks guys for responding promptly! HT102 youu were right -the answer is right there in the instruction manual. Guess I had to learn nogt to be too smart and remember to 'when in doubt read the manual first'. Proble is fixed. Phew!
