kardtoon Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Hoipe to get some advice from the folks here. I'm planning to setup my living room to incorporate a proejctor system. I have my own projector but need the following. - A motorized projector screen (this will lower from my ceiling down to cover my plasma TV). Any recommendations? This will be used in a liviing room, mostly at night. - Run cables from my AV amp (in the front of the room) to the rear of my living room where the projector will be. - Video switcher so that I can switch outputs from my Amp to either my plasma TV or the projector (amp only has one HDMI out). Any recommendations on one? - Ceiling mount for my projector - Installation for all of the above including running cables through existing false ceiling, running electrical cables to where the projector will be. Need to reseal my ceiling and repaint ceiling/walls as necessary. Is there a shop that can do all these? Appreciate any recommendation/advise.
ManYou Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 hmm.. know KEC gives good prices for A/V stuff but dunno if they do re-plastering and re-painting works.. Anyway, no harm trying. While you are at KEC, you can also try Millennium in Funan, 2nd floor. They are very good at doing the things you mentioned, including re-painting. They did the installation for my HT/PJ system and did a pretty good job. Price very reasonable as well. The more options, the better, right? :)
blitz Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Talk to the folks at KEC sound, Adelphi KEC is definitely one of the cheapest around. But from what I gather, their workmanship so so only leh...
kardtoon Posted August 21, 2006 Author Posted August 21, 2006 Thanks guys. I'm currently waiting for a quote from Millennium and already have a quote from KEC. Will see what happens here.
