fff Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Hi Guys/ Gals , I am just doing a survey as may plan to buy at the Next MO. ;D Does any of the SVS subwoofer owner experience breakdown or any problem with it? Any bad exprience or complain to report? If possible, if you happen to come across any thread even from other forum, can you please help to paste here or PM me? How often do you come across a breakdown esp the amp part as the driver will fail less often? As I am pretty worried about the breakdown situation as it will be very troublesome and no one to call locally even though I read that SVS support is good and responsive but they are at USA after all. Looking forward to SVS owners' feedback. Thanks.
DIRTRUN Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Hiya F3, Pb12 plus user from Bhuv's MO in 2005. No complaints so far but I am a low mileage user; one, two movies a week but when it's on it earns its keep. You might want to wait from comments from more hours users to confirm how good/decent it is. Cheerios Dirtrun
Quest88 Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 well, my PCU hasn't given me any problems after a year. from my last organised MO, only 1 person said there was a problem after receiving the sub. after identifying the problem, SVS sent over an amp as as a replacement, but he had to install it himself.
armoury Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 I've had an SVS since 2002. No problems at all ;D
fff Posted August 15, 2006 Author Posted August 15, 2006 Tks Tks... ;D Not sure if the SB12-plus is good for 80% music enjoyment.... hmmm... abit risky.
keithwwk Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Quite sure the sealed one give more musical bass than other SvS.
dbchoong Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Tks Tks... ;D Not sure if the SB12-plus is good for 80% music enjoyment.... hmmm... abit risky. Why not visit a fellow forumer who owns a SVS you're considering and have a listen? ;D
deepakvali Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 SVS at least to me is reliable enuff for day to day use. if risk is not in your blood, you may want to consider brands with local service centers albeit the higher selling price with all these "service center" cost factored in ;D
