jfk Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Has anyone tried/upgraded from a budget HDMI player to a mid range one recently? I am currently using the samsung 850 dvdp and was wondering if it is worth upgrading to denon 1920 dvdp? - Screening it on AE700 panasonic projector. - Using Panasonic XR55 with Triangles front LRC and mirage rear LRC. Thanks in advance for sharing your inputs.

It can be the DVD player, the cable, the power supply or the display. Player against player, I believe that there is none better specs wise and reviews wise than the Denon. The video, audio and upscaling processors are second to none in this price range. bought one recently after looking at many many reviews and I am very pleased with the performance.
DIRTRUN Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Hiya, Apologies to thread starter but I am in need of similar advise too but my question is would a mid range player like the 1920 be a better buy than the new Oppo Hd player, noting on price vs video performance. I have plans to squeeze this in together with a Panny Ae900. Any comments / advice is gladly accepted. Thank you Dirtrun
