wwyjoe Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Hi all, Currently my xbox360 is connected to my panny ae900 projector thru component cable and the xbox set at 720p. Picture fits nicely with screen When i connect via VGA cable and set the xbox resolution to 720p or 1080i, the picture shfits to the right of my screen, leaving a black bar on the left side of the screen. The same thing happens with my Rapsody media player (with DVI-HDMI adapter, HDMI cable), when setting the Rapsody to 720p or 1080i. However, picture fits nicely with my usual DVD, HD-DVD viewing Anything i missed? Thanks
wiseguy1624705816 Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 suspect it is the overscan function on the ae900. toggle it to see if there is any difference
zas3 Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Hi wwyjoe, I also have the same problem as yours when feeding xbox360 to ae900 using VGA. Couldnt really find any solution except adjusting the horizontal position setting until the picture shifts more or less to the centre. In my case the horizontal setting is set to the max.
wwyjoe Posted August 17, 2006 Author Posted August 17, 2006 thanks zas. is there any way one can save the horizontal shift settings to the ae900 and apply it when using with the xbox? then when watching dvd, switch back to original settings?
zas3 Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 If i'm not mistaken the settings are saved separately for each inputs (VGA, HDMI, component etc). Not sure whether you can save different settings within an input. Btw i'm currently using component input back with my xbox360. Found the picture using VGA connection a bit washed out.
