Changing the brightness and contrastsettings do not help. :o Base on the a/m symptom, do u think it will be a costly repair? :-\ Thanks in advance
Jason Yeo Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Try cleaning the surface of the 3tubes and fine tune the convergence .
Relax Posted July 22, 2006 Author Posted July 22, 2006 Jason Yeo [glow=red,2,300]Try cleaning the surface of the 3tubes and fine tune the convergence[/glow] U mean cleaning the 3 gun lens and adj the red & blues to converge to the white line. If that is so.. I have already done that. The picture is still sharp but the overall picture color tone is more whitish or brighter.. Sorry do not how I can really describe the problem. That why need a service man.
Audio Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Frankly, I felt the tubes need to be replaced. It is a very costly exercise and I recommend you buying a new projector; using the money to pay the servicemamn for the new projector instead. This Sony model as I understand it only do video input..... (Audio)
Relax Posted July 22, 2006 Author Posted July 22, 2006 Thanks Audio, For your inputs. Would you know what is the cost for rplacing this tube. Just like to gauge the cost.. There are more to this than just replacing replacing the projector. Would probably need a new bracket and additional cables, like component, HDMI & s-video. To do this would probably have to remove the cornices on the ceiling...& etc etc Yes, would probably change the new projectorin the future...when $$ comes along too. ;D ;D
