pingpongsong Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Hi all, Need some advice here from B&W LCR60 S3 owners. Do you consider the B&W LCR60 S3 as bright sounding? I did a comparison of B&W LCR60 S3 with Whafedale 9.CS, the LCR60 S sound a tad brighter but is much more detailed. Decided to go with the 9.CS, coz it is less bright and less expensive. However, found that the 9.CS is too tall for my cabinet. So i have to review my choice, the LCR60 S3 would fit my cabinet nicely. but main concern is Brightness.... thanks in advice. Cheers........

hifi_blues Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 If the center channel speaker is new it may need to be burnt in. It takes about 200 hours to burn in a speaker. You may want to look For a cd called the LLC5. it’s a utility cd that has a burn in track. On the burn in track 1 hour = 12 hours of music burn in. It also demagnetizes your audio system and cleans your cd/dvd laser.
siaoboy Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 Agree!.. it is calling me............. haha.. but at $200 more..... :'( if budget is not a concern ...take the big brother LCR600S3 ;D Sure blow you off
Quest88 Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 You can try to lessen the brightness issue with cable matching and some minor treatment.. details will always remain core to the speaker so I would definitely go for that. :)
