hkail Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 not here to "splash cold water"....but during a briefing (on censorship issues) by mda/bfc last month, i kindof overheard from a staff there that they are getting more stuffs from ddd. So, i guess they are (or will be) keeping their eyes open on parcels from there. Nevertheless, i will still be ordering ;) , offer can't be missed...so just have to keep our fingers crossed.
tayshaun Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Ya its always important to strike a balance between squeezing the max number of DVDs in one shipment (save $) but at the same time, not to attract MDA attention (waste time+$). Having said that, I still opt for 9 DVDs in one shipment this time. Hopefully will get it safe and sound, hehe.
Guest ottimo Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 From my recent experience, >10 (Huge Parcel) = High Risk (Get yourself prepared for the trip) 6-10 (10 Pack) = Medium/High Risk (>60% will go to MDA) <6 (5 Pack) = Low Risk 1 = Risk Free (Unless postage doesn't mean a thing to you ;D) Afterall, it's all depends, I do have 5 Pack parcel (4 items) sent to MDA, however, the chances are smaller, I'll stick to <6 unless really have no choice. I didn't have any problem with big parcel last year, guess they have "upgraded".

I ordered mine yesterday and received shipping confirmation today, it's faster now if compared to the past even with their current tremendous sales volume, not bad. Each shipment consists of between 7-9 titles... god bless me... lol. :P

I have 2 orders, 4 titles each, shipped within a week between them, and one ended up in MDA, one reached me safely. I think MDA is stepping up their check recently, and it is random. I used to have a package with many DVDs from them years ago, in a big box, and it reached me safely. What surprised me was that the box was damaged and badly torn during shipping, and the DVDs spilled out. Instead of sending it to MDA for checks, the post office put the whole box in a straw bag and sent it to me promptly.

Quite similar to LOTR case.
