Need some help here Re connections !

Featured Replies

hi peeps

found this forum to be most useful for LCD and setups

i just purchased a 40 inch amoi LCDTV after much research and consideration from big at 2499

require to connect via

1. starhub anaglog box

should i connect via the normal coaxial?

i noticed that there are two rca outputs (one video and one audio) on the starhub box

does that mean that the audio output is only mono? (isnt audio always L+R with 2 rcas)

2. PC

need about 4-5m via either

DVI to HDMI straight or

DVI to DVI then to DVI to HDMI convertor

would be most grateful on comments where to buy such cables

i know its sls,slt and would appreciate a definate shop to buy from

would also be grateful to amoi 40 inch lcd users as to whether they can input 1360 x768 via HDMI (i know pc inputs via hdmi are lcd dependent) or whether powerstrip would have to be invoked to scale it to 1366x768

lastly

whether vga would be supeior to dvi-hdmi connection (again i realise this is lcd dep) so i would appreciate amoi 40 inch users

to pre-emp qns as to why i did not choose the 37 inch variant with proven 1:1 mapping on 1920x768,

i prefer a larger screen size and a lower cost

would not be able to game at 1920x768 for latest games with my gfx

and frankly 1920 vs 1366 is not dicernable at 37-40 inches

lastly, i rather stick with a samsung panel then taiwan AUO

thanks in advance
