basspundit Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 I've read off one of the tweaking articles off stereophile.com about people applying oil(organic cooking oil)to the rubber surround to retain its suppleness. I'm just wondering if this is actually detrimental to the rubber.....after all if you read durex's pamphlet, oil based lubricants damages latex. Any opinions on this?
Spunky Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 not all are rubber...some r foam. in fact the rubber ones last longer than foam so don't really need to 'protect' it.
benzx Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Ya, I think just keep the rubber out of direct sunlight and the its gonna last quite a long while. :)
basspundit Posted May 24, 2006 Author Posted May 24, 2006 hehe great to know that...can't believe a condom pamphlet saved me from screwing around with my speakers... ;D
