scoobydoo Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Seems like I have been doing a lot of polls recently eh?... ;D
mcmaranello Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Provided they win the CL, maybe Arsenal has a chance to keep him.
sonofdbn Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 On the other hand, he might feel that once he's achieved that for the club, he can leave with on a high note with a clear conscience. And if they lose, he might well feel it's time to try to achieve this at another club, so either way.....?
kaipium Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 I like him a lot but he will probably go.....and it will be better becos than we can play Theo walcott. Otherwise there will be no room for Theo walcott. Arsene already know that when he buy Theo.......
f_spider Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Henry will go out........... As will Arsenal 2mr too ;D
oliverlim Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 I do hope Bar wins but Henry to stay. Its not everytime you see such a exciting player and I would like to see it on PL. You know I just feel that the main reason Spanish football does not seem as exciting is due to the commentators? Spanish and Italian commentators just seem so dull. No passion in their voice at all... Oliver
scoobydoo Posted May 17, 2006 Author Posted May 17, 2006 I personally thinks he has set his mind to leave. He has said he will inform of his decision before the World Cup. In my opinion, if he wanted to stay, he could have said it now and give Arsenal a boost ahead of the Champions League final. Or, maybe he wanted to keep it secret and wanted to motivate his team mates to win the CPL so that he will stay. However I think the latter is very unlikely.
mcmaranello Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 hey start another poll: where will Henry be heading next ;D ;D
MC_Hammer Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Don't believe he will leave...just a lot of bullsh*t he cooked up to get a better deal for himself ! Don't think he will find another Team that will make him looks so Good n Important !
manik_saha Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 I think he should stay on.... for his own sake. .. he'll be crowded out in Barca among other great players..and he's anyway 28, so not that many glory years left... Stay till the end of his career, and he'll remain a legend at Arsenal.. (like shearer?).. leave, and the legend dies..
dbchoong Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Henry looked sharper than the Barca stars last night. Unfortunately, Arsenal only had 10 men and defended deeply. This gave Henry minimal chances to attack. I think Henry can hold his own even when compared with top players like Ronaldhino, Ronaldo, Shevchenko, etc. It's up to him whether he wants to leave or not. He will do well regardless where he goes. ;D
Spunky Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Don't think he will find another Team that will make him looks so Good n Important ! I can't agree more!! Another team, perhaps. But not in another league! Think he's only good for English PL!

He will do well regardless where he goes. ;D If he's not careful..he will end up the same Fate as Michael Owen...great player as well but wrong teams after Liverpool !
dbchoong Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Michael Owen...great player as well but wrong teams after Liverpool ! What wrong team? He's in the best football club right now!! ;D
SiriuslyCold Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 poor Owen... if i were him i'd sack the advisers it's not like he was Shearer wanting to play for Newcy despite the lack of trophies and medals
oliverlim Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Judging by how Henry replied to the question on his fate next season after the final. He is gone. And also after how he missed those 2 sitters...he is probably going to Barcelona! :p Oliver

And also after how he missed those 2 sitters...he is probably going to Barcelona! :p Oliver Yeah. Seems very unusual for him to miss 2 sitters. He hardly ever misses in those kind of situations regardless playing in EPL or Champs League games. :)
dbchoong Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 poor Owen... if i were him i'd sack the advisers it's not like he was Shearer wanting to play for Newcy despite the lack of trophies and medals Hey! Ban you, ha!! ;D ;D
Spunky Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 I think Arsenal will survive without Henry...Wenger has been very consistent in getting the right players to fit in yr in yr out! While much of the season was focus on farbegas and flamini, I think the defensive trio of ebuoe, sendoros and toure have been fantastic!

sonofdbn Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 BBC News: Henry poised to sign new contract Thierry Henry is set to end months of speculation over his future by signing a new contract at Arsenal, inspired by their Champions League final display. Henry, whose contract runs out next year, had been linked with a move to Champions League winners Barcelona. "I hope to stay as long as I can keep running. I couldn't leave the fans. They're like family," he told The Sun. "I love Barcelona, but on Wednesday Arsenal showed they had heart. I hope to finalise details today." Gunners captain Henry, 28, joined from Juventus in August 1999 and has gone on to become the club's record goalscorer. He was recently voted Football Writers' Association player of the year for the third time, and in his acceptance speech, he said that he now considered London his home. On the flight back from Arsenal's Champions League final defeat in Paris, he is reported to have told passengers "we will come back next year." If he does pledge his future to Arsenal, it will be a huge boost to the club ahead of their move to their new Emirates Stadium next season. It will also help cushion the loss of striker Dennis Bergkamp, who is retiring after 11 years' service to the club.
Necrohavoc Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Henry to escape punishment Thierry Henry is likely to escape punishment for his comments after Arsenal's defeat to Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League final. The Spanish champions came from behind to beat The Gunners 2-1 at the Stade de France, but one of the major talking points has been the performance of the referee. Official Terje Hauge sent off Jens Lehmann rather than allowing Ludovic Giuly's first half goal to stand, while there were several other contentious decisions, including Barca's equaliser, which carried the hint of offside. Henry was left fuming at the final whistle, claiming that Arsenal's task was made doubly difficult by the referee helping their opponents. However, his stinging words will not get him into any trouble, according to UEFA director of communications William Gaillard, who will take the situation into account when reviewing the incident. "Well it's emotions I think, we take it as emotions," Gaillard told Sky Sports News. "You know I don't recall any game where the winning team came in front of the camera and said the ref was terrible. "Henry is a great player. I'm sure he wanted to win for his club and I think he was very disappointed. I'm sure he will ponder on the match "I understand that certain decisions are difficult to take." Gaillard refused to blame the referee for the way the game panned out, despite revealing that Barcelona supporters were also disappointed with the official. "I talked to Barca fans as I came out and they complained about the ref. I said 'yeah, but you won. They said maybe if he had done some things differently the game would have been better," he explained. "That shows something fantastic, fans on both sides wanted to see a great game. "Barca won but the fans wanted to see 5-4 or something more spectacular. "It's not the referee's fault. It is fate." - http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=388284&CPID=8&clid=3&lid=2&title=Henry+to+escape+punishment
dbchoong Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Henry will be plying his trade at the Emirates Stadium next season. :)
