Has anyone try this cable before?

Featured Replies

This is mainly for people using SCV digital box.  As we all know, there is only composite signal from this box and composite signal is the second worst video signal you can get. Now wouldn't it be great if you can convert the inferior composite signal to a much more higher quality svideo signal?

Monster cable has this composite to svideo cable called CSVC-1 which claims that they can accept composite input and output it to svideo with better picture and sharper detail. This cable is even ISF certified!!.

The best price I can find on the net is USD72.12 (excluding shipping).  http://www.thetwistergroup.com/store/customer/product.php?productid=CSVC-1%20D03908&source=sm

Amazon is selling this cable at USD78.99 but only ships in US.

So was wondering if anyone has used this cable before?  If you have, kindly share your experience.

If someone has a better alternative, kindly also share with us.

Note:  I'm not associated with Monster cable in any kind.  Just wish to share this info.

IMO, this is not going to improve the PQ and give "better picture and sharper detail".

GIGO......... garbage in, garbage out.

if u get the Starhub Smart TV box, it has a component out. might be better signal quality than composite.
