volumous Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 folks, any opinions on the diff between the two that is worth 600-700 dollars in price? or should i just take the pana AE900 and save the money. all opinions valued. thks.
volumous Posted May 2, 2006 Author Posted May 2, 2006 thks for that. actually the shop guy also said that... but he could get a sanyo (at a good price too) if i wanted.
leekb Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 I have never tested the Z4. But based solely on popular reviews, the AE900 wins.
howk798 Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 How about ae900 and epson tw600? I feel that the AE900 is good but maybe because of the smooth screen technology I find the images is not as sharp as the TW600. Another pj to be considered is the Hitachi TX200, around the same price range but you cant find any place to demo it. Perhap any owner of the TX200 can comments on it. Thanks.

Yeah, I was considering these 3 as well... same price range & same lens used. Performance quite close as well. In the end, made my decision based on paper specs & comfortableness wif distributor
volumous Posted May 5, 2006 Author Posted May 5, 2006 ok i just came back from viewing the Z4. though i cannot see a 700 dollar diff in pic Q and brightness, my wife has decided it is going to be the Z4. (between us, i think she likes the auto-closing lens protector!) the other thing is, she watches a lot, so she decides. thks for your learned opinions. i have some more Q's elsewhere in this forum for good housekeeping. will post my set-up and prices as i buy them, to help out.

htfreak Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Don't worry lah.. all of us were just having a bit of fun to break up all that tension over the "Cut Wrist Die" affair. Sanyo has been well known to position their HT projectors as premium items here in Sillypore. What do you expect when the AirCon dept is the one distributing them. ;D Anyway, have fun and welcome to the big screen owners club.
