fba Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Hi, I just inherited a Toshiba TLP511. It was being discarded because one of the colors is being projected to the left of others, causing the appearance of vertical bands on the screen. I'm hoping it's something simple that a newbie like me can pop the case and adjust some slight mechanical something to make it nice again. Any suggestions? -fba
econav Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 Dear fba We know what can be the cause of your problems. The TOSHIBA TLP511 is an XGA, 800 ANSI Lumens projector with builtin document camera and the production was in 1997/8. Try the following procedures to rectify your problem:- 1. If you are on a VGA Model (or connected to a notebook/PC) and you experienced vertical bands, please adjust the phase and thereafter, use the "clock" to adjust the horiztonal size. 2. However, if you are on a PAL/composite signal and you experienced vertical bands, there could be some alignment problems. You can bring your projector to our division below and our staff will check and help you:- THE ARTCOUSTIC GALLERY 1 Coleman Street #02-33 The Adelphi Singapore 179803 Tel: 62593264 (Mon-Sat 1-7pm) It would be good if you can make a call first before coming so that the right person can attend to your needs.
