I went Samsung TFT-LCD website and discovered that they only manufacture 26" PVA and not S-PVA LCD. This would mean that the new 26" R71 series are actually PVA and not S-PVA as claimed. Further more, the viewing angle of 26" R71 is suspicious at a lower advertised viewing angle of 176 with dynamic contrast of 3000:1 while the fellow 32" and 40" both having 178 angle with contrast of 5000:1. Therefore the new LA26R71B and older LA26R51B are actually the same less a new look and more powerful speakers. The viewing angle should be 170 not 176. Though the normal contrast (w/o Dynamic contrast) is higher than previously thought at 1200:1 not 1000:1.

 

This would coincide with the lower viewing angle of PVA against the S-PVA as posted by Samsung TFT-LCD website. See below.
