Hi, I am getting a XR55 soon and intented to use my pc 5.1 speakers (videologic ZXR500). I am not sure how the  connection be done. The manual say use dual phono to dual phono cables if connect to a Dolby Digital/DTS enable 6 channel source. Please advise. Thanks.

I would recommend you to consider a set of proper set of 5.1 system speakers. The VideoLogic ZXR500 are PC speakers with the following specs:

SATELLITE SPEAKERS:

Five compact speaker units with powerful 3" drive units.

Cabinets: Moulded ABS construction cabinets

Drive units: 3" cone

Impedance: 6 Ohm.

Power output: 8W RMS each

SUBWOOFER:

Cabinet: Wood construction cabinet with front and side tuned bass ports.

Drive unit: 5" cone

Impedance: 4 Ohm.

Amplifiers: Integrated amplifier

Power supply: Integral low-noise power supply

Power output: 25W RMS

If you really want to use these speakers, then I think this is how it will be connected:

XR55 speaker outputs (L/R/C/SR/SL) to the 5 satellite speakers. The speaker cable connectors you currently have are male RCA/phono - so either you cut it and connect the bare wires to the XR55 or you'll have to get bare wires to a female RCA/phono socket for each of the speaker outputs of the XR55.

XR55 subwoofer output goes to the "S" input connector on the subwoofer.

But really, if you want to get the best out of the XR55 - you really need better speakers.

;D

yeah, consdiering someone is using the XR55 to power B&W 802Ds
